Welcome to the Clann Lír bar. Located in the heart of Belmullet, let the Clann Lír be your bar to pop in and out of and plan your visit around Erris. Recently renovated since the pandemic for our customers to relax and unwind in safely you will find wonderful snugs and sectioned seating.
We have a selection of wines, craft beers, non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails and your choice of teas/coffee.
There are low tables and comfortable seating for persons with disabilities and accessible toilet.
We can cater for your parties or events, just give us a call to discuss your needs.
Spend a few hours playing darts, pool, cards, board games or just have a natter and discover more about Belmullet and Erris.
Our staff are trained to help you with any aspect of your stay in Erris whether it’s finding accommodation, booking a local trip, looking for something to do with the kids or how many of our 30 something beaches you can get to during your stay!
The McIntyre family have had a business presence in Erris for over 100 years. Bought in 1993, the Clann Lír is managed by Martin McIntyre or Mac to his Clann agus cairde (family and friends).
Named ‘Clann Lír’ (the family of Lír), the bar was named in tribute to the God of the oceans: Lír, whose children were condemned to spend 300 years here in Erris (or Iorras Domhnann as it was known then) and finished out their lives on the islands of Inisglora, off our coast.
